CEM Quarantine

The Animal Health Diagnostic Lab provides regulatory testing and treatment protocols for horses being imported into the United States from countries affected with Contagious Equine Metritis(CEM). A quarantine station for stallions and mares, coupled with a testing program, prevents the inroduction and dissemination of the disease into the country. Horses temporarily imported for competition purposes are also monitored during their stay by accredited veterinarians.
